Relationship class that represents a generic association used to establish dependent relationships between objects in order to describe the organization of a business process and its dependencies. For example, the class can be used to specify that a business service is dependent on a system. At the business level, the relationship could be due to a distributed business process. At the technical level, the relationship can be interpreted as communication between application systems. ; Typically, BMC_Activity or BMC_BusinessProcess may depend on one or more CIs of any type. For example, BMC_Activity will depend on abstract objects, such as BMC_Role or BMC_WebService. One of the most frequent uses of BMC_Dependency is to indicate that one entity is using another. ; This class corresponds to the DMTF class CIM_Dependency.
